The Story
In 2004, Bryan Rogan was approached by one of Montana’s largest private landowners to research and develop various projects focused on natural resource development. This partnership between Rogan and Errol Galt resulted in the formation of a land management and development company focused on revenue-producing ventures that worked alongside existing agricultural operations.
As the managing partner, Rogan researched, developed, and launched the Gordon Butte Wind Farm, the first commercial wind farm in Montana that is 100 percent Montana-owned and operated. Rogan also developed Self Guided Hunts, a hunting and fishing operation providing fee-based recreation access and lodging for hunters and anglers. Additionally, he negotiated mineral extraction and land use leases in eastern and central Montana, provided representation for real estate transactions, and represented stakeholder interests for legislative matters.
Acting as Errol’s “right-hand man,” Rogan managed the heavy lifting for all the projects they pursued — gathering and verifying information; conducting research and analysis; coordinating consultants, experts, and contractors; providing financial analysis; creating budgets; and executing decisions — all while allowing Errol to remain focused on his core operations.
Today, Rogan provides the same type of support for private landowners. Whether you’re seeking to maximize the value of your land, develop your dream property, or have that special project you never have the time to take on, Landowner Resources can help.
“Bryan covered all the bases, allowing me to manage from a distance. He effectively managed contractors, consultants, government agencies, and legal advisors, while also overseeing all financial responsibilities. He kept all of the pieces of complex projects moving forward together. Once we decided to continue with a project, Bryan’s value was even more apparent — he intimately knew every detail of each project. This was highlighted in his successful completion of the $23M Gordon Butte Wind Farm — under budget and ahead of schedule.”
